President Trump appears to have put one over on Chuck Schumer and the Swamp Rats, as a new pair of tweets indicate that money in the Omnibus for military spending will be in wall construction in defense
  • Agi Yaeger Agi 7174 Fantastic news! Hopefully he outsmarted the enemy. I just have one question. In the omnibus bill, it stipulated that he cannot build the prototype wall made of concrete, that he wants. But with this over-ride tactic, and the fact he already has the money promised from the military, who says he can't build it from concrete and more than 93 miles?
    Hopefully he can get around that through this Judge Curiel, because the omnibus demands are outrageous and ridiculous that he could only repair existing fences.
    Obama did what he wanted in his omnibus bills, so why not Pres. Trump?
    • RobertM Retired Master General Electrician I wanted to build a new house, but "zoning" said I couldn't. So I conferred with some people and found that I COULD get a permit and loan for a "home improvement" project. So I did.

      Soooo, I built a bigger, 2-story house around the small 1-story one, and tore the old one down inside and put in my partitions for the rooms, etc., and finished the inside. They tried to stop me, but I already had my permits. =) See my point?

      • Agi Yaeger Agi 7174 Yes, I see your point. What was shocking, that after the details of the omnibus bill surfaced, I started reading comments on FB and in a flash so many on our side began down spiraling and blaming Pres. Trump. That was unnerving.
        So I started posting this article last night, wherever I could. I don't understand how people become so gullible without doing some research.
        By this morning, the news, thank goodness, was on Fox & Friends and even on conservative radio. We have become, truly, an instant gratification society, jumping to conclusions.
        I wonder why so many give up in a flash?
